Whether you are assisting a developer who is “going for the Gold”, or another level of LEED® certification, or an architect selecting environmentally conscientious products, Dietrich Metal Framing is here to support you.
Dietrich’s cold-formed metal framing products and accessories
contribute toward LEED® credits in several areas:
Materials and Resources
MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2 Recycled Content (2 Points)
Dietrich products contain a high percentage of recycled steel comprised of both post-consumer and pre-consumer recycled content.
MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2 Regional Materials (2 Points)
The
environmental impacts resulting from transportation can be greatly
reduced as Dietrich’s manufacturing facilities and material sources are
located within 500 miles of 85% of the U.S. population.
MR Credit 2.1 and 2.2 Construction Waste Management (2 Points)
Since
steel is North America’s most recycled material, redirecting job site
reusable resources back to the manufacturing process can also
contribute toward Construction Waste Management points.
Innovation in Design
Dietrich’s UltraSTEEL®
interior framing metal studs and tracks provide higher strength
capacity from lighter gauge material creating a substantially lighter
building footprint. This reduction in the amount of steel used in the
building allows for a corresponding reduction in the amount of energy
required to manufacture the steel.
